Country - Oldies - Pop - Rock-N-Roll - & Original Music
The Renegades Band is a five piece musical group ( four males and one female ) fronted by band leader, professional entertainer, lead and backing vocalist, and acoustic guitarist, Glenn Dale Fontenot. Fontenot is accompanied by the awesome female vocalist, Ms.Kitty, who also plays keyboards. The group has additional lead and backing vocalist along with instrumentation consisting of lead electric guitar, bass guitar, and drums. The band performs predominately old and new country, some oldies and rock-n-roll, with just a few pop, blues, and original tunes. With their high level of entertainment style and variety of music, this professional musical entity is suitable for wide ranges of venues.
The Renegades Band was formed in December 1995 and performed various functions, night clubs, and casinos for about a year. The group accepted the "house band " offer from Hank's Night Club in Chalmette, Louisiana and performed there at least three nights a week for twenty-three months. Since that time the band has done several tours and have performed for multitude of venues.
The Renegades Band is best described as a very entertaining danc band performing a variety of cover tunes. They incorporate a few of their popular original songs in each set also. The group is well known for their entertainment value, conversing and interacting with the audience.
The Renegades Band is fully self-contained with their own state-of-the-art sound and lighting system and they have the experience and ability to perform anywhere in the world.
